Social Skills Training (SST)

This weekly class is mandatory for all trainees and teaches and provides the opportunity to learn and practice socially acceptable behaviors and skills. These behaviors and skills are those that will enable them to function successfully in the workplace and community.

Each class session includes behavior modeling, skills practice, feedback and transfer of skills to real situations. SST covers orientation, communication, managing emotions, critical thinking, personal and social responsibility, and independent living skills.
